#1 - NEVER NEVER put timber boards in the Dishwasher.
To care for a timber cutting board, always hand wash it with warm, soapy water after each use, rinse thoroughly, and dry immediately. Avoid soaking or putting it in the dishwasher. Regularly oil the board with a food-grade mineral oil to prevent drying and cracking.
